I was told by a computer tech that phone jack was dead. I knew cable company would not deal with that and really did not want to go to all cordless phones as worried rest of jacks were affected. Phone jack wasn't dead and all that was needed was one new long phone cord. Have an idea cable company was responsible for all phones being out as our phones are with them.
